Vinita Nair
Nair joined ABC News in July of 2004 and has since covered many aspects, such as investigations like the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings close to Bailey, Colorado. Nair was recruited as a reporter for ABC News in December 2007 as a correspondent/anchor for ABC News Now. In her capacity as a correspondent, she was able to provide live coverage and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair also served as a co-anchor of World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's online network, which ran until September 17th in 2008 until February 18th, 2011. The show was hosted by Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson for both of the shows. Nair made it clear to viewers on World News Now that she was not going to be on World News Now after Friday the 18th of February. It would also be the day off as her last for ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was appointed her successor. In all three segments on World News Now's February 18 broadcast, Nair was honored by the former and present colleagues, such including Jeremy Hubbard. The crew was treated to hot food during her last day.
